Bighorn Institute is dedicated to the conservation of the world's wild sheep through research and education. Bighorn Institute is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization created in 1982 by a group of biologists and veterinarians to investigate the causes of bighorn sheep declines, with the primary focus being Peninsular desert bighorn sheep. The institute's work to save our sheep comes completely from individual contributions, private foundations, and public sector grants. One way we can help is to adopt a baby bighorn. You can adopt a lamb for $100.
Our class visited this organization in Palm Desert in October. Aimee, their ranger, took us on a tour and helped us see all the critical things they do to help these animals.
